Our story
Rooted in purpose. Growing with vision.
From a bold idea to a thriving school
Winwood College was established in 2014 and opened its doors in January 2015 with 15 students and eight teachers. The school was created by the late Mr Oneday Muponda, who transformed the former Old Windsor Stadium into a private secondary school designed for twenty-first-century learning.
His vision was an education that combines academic opportunity, disciplined character and space for every learner to grow. The school’s public history records that his legacy continues under Mrs A. Nyeruke-Muponda together with the board of directors.
Growing opportunity
Winwood offers secondary and advanced education from Form 1 to Form 6, including Cambridge IGCSE, AS and Advanced Level pathways. Its story is also shaped by practical learning, cultural exchange, educational travel and a commitment to the whole child.
